very low serial #1223, heavy octagon barrel Marlin Lever action 32 special. Believed to be 1902-1903 because this caliber came out in this model in 1902 and in late 1903 the receiver top would have been drilled and tapped for a Hepburn adjustable site and this one does not. Rear flip up adjustable peep site is likely aftermarket. Very tight action and good, clean bore.
