Threads are concentric. Perfect setup for suppressed applications. The Vltor rail system blocks most of the gas to your face when firing suppressed. The fulton armory gas plug lets you dial everything in just right

Nothing wrong with the gun. I just never shoot it now that I got my LBR in.
