Comes with a little over a cylinder's worth of ultra-premium defensive ammo, its original box, and all it contained. Asking 900 cash. Open to offers.
The reason I got this? It's a classic design with modern, yet aesthetically unnoticeable, upgrades. The reason I'm selling? I have way, way too many revolvers.
Regarding these modern upgrades: Everyone knows Smith's classic k frame .357s had issues with their truncated forcing cones failing after a few thousand rounds of hot .357, hence the L frame. That's why Smith updated its design in this most recent iteration to not only have a beefed up full forcing cone like its other .357 models (check the image above), but a much stronger cylinder lockup located on the yoke as well. This gun will run forever on a full diet of .357 while being much lighter (and in my estimation handsomer) than the more popular 686. Not only is it comfortable for carry, but it makes for a perfect barbecue gun as well.
Info:
-BRAND NEW with only 18 rounds through it (Blazer .38 spcl and .357). I am its first owner. It still has a bit of the factory grease smell.
-4.25" barrel
-capable of taking both square and round butt stocks
-uncommonly good mirror finish
-For the uninitiated: The k frame is Smith's medium frame. It is much lighter than the more common L frame while being more controllable and comfortable to shoot than the tiny J-frame. It's the Goldilocks of Smith frames.
-I'll throw in a cylinder's worth of buffalo bore defensive ammo if you're so inclined. I prefer lighter shooting stuff for both target shooting and carry so I have no need of it.
I bought it for 1100. It was the last one the dealer had in stock and I hadn't seen any for months outside of that. It's used, so I acknowledge I have to take a loss on it, so I think I'd let it go for 900. I would much prefer cash, so my trade value is gonna be the full 1100.
