This is a 2019 Kolby 1. It is named for the very young man who assembled the major groups into a functioning rifle. He was blown away in getting to do it, and I was blown away getting to mentor such a fine young man. So, thank you Kolby. Now, this is a never fired 5.56, equipped as follows: Lewis Machine and Tool (LMT) lower. [This company just fitted the New Zealand Army with 9,300 new rifles – and it was hard to get anything from them while all that was going on, but their parts are finding their way back to the market.] The lower was equipped with a Phase 5 LPK, because like LMT, we know Phase 5 to be very high quality. We like folks to have an edge wherever we can offer one, so we stuck a Geissele Rapid Fire trigger in it - plenty of You Tubers playing around with these! We’ve used them for some time, and they are a great trigger if one only wants to take one shot – but they are an incredible trigger, once one masters the “feel” to get maximum performance out of it. We added an Ergo grip, a Seekins trigger guard, and a B5 Systems stock to polish it off. Now there’s no way to put parts like that in the lower and put a “Playskool” upper on it. If this one is new to you, surf the WWW for it: Kinetic Development Group (KDG) upper with a 16” barrel with a 13.5” KDG MREX-AR M-LOK free float handguard. The barrel is a BA Hanson contour. It is also tipped with a Ballistic Advantage VG6 Delta flash suppressor. I can promise this, the Hanson contour will be heard from in ever widening circles! This one is both HP, and MP tested, is a 1/7 twist and has a mid-length gas system, so recoil is really mitigated. This is a better CrMoV barrel than some of my “hot stuff” rifles. The M4 feed ramps are Nickel Boron! KDG really came hitting below the belt with this baby. We put a Geissele Super Charging Handle on it, along with a Toolcraft BCG. We chose them because we research everything, and in this process, learned they make thousands of BCG’s every week, for many of the “big names.” You can check them out on the Internet. We topped it off with Troy main battle sights (the metal ones). The receiver, and buffer group came from Primary Arms in Houston, and we are turning this one out with two MagPul 30 rounder’s. This will get your attention, this rifle as you see it weighs only 6.8 pounds!! As an option, if buyer does not want or need the Troy sights, I would remove them, and drop the price a hundred dollars.
Rifle is located in SA, near 281 N and Loop 1604. Text or voice: 210.404.4004. Email through Gun Trader. I didn’t really have selling this in mind as it was coming together, so if it does not sell, Kolby and I will take it to the range!! LOL. As always I would not offer you something I would not pick up to defend my own. Finally regarding trades, it would have to be something beyond spectacular!
